A man has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with a shooting that took place on Interstate 35 in Dallas early Sunday morning.
Police said a man got into a dispute with police near the exit of the freeway.
The two parties were fighting in the roadway, and the suspect tried to flee on foot.
He then drove his vehicle through a police car, according to a Dallas Police Department news release.
Dallas Police say the man fired a shot at police officers, striking one officer in the head.
He was taken to the hospital for treatment and later arrested.
His name has not been released.
The officer was treated and released.
No injuries were reported.
